Wow, how is it autumn already? Summer at The Hive at 52, our welcoming B&B in Cheshire, has absolutely flown by. It’s been a busy, heart-warming few months full of memorable moments both here at our Bed and Breakfast in Cheshire and with our family.
Summer highlights: celebrations, travels and tunes
First up, a proud family moment — Daisy graduated from Bristol University! Many of you will remember her helping out at breakfast since she was twelve, so it’s lovely to share this milestone with our regular guests.
We also managed to squeeze in some fantastic live events. From singing along with Lionel Richie in Manchester, 50 Cent and Mary J. Blige in London, to laughing with Russell Kane and Jason Manford in Chester, it’s been a season packed with music, comedy and good times.
And of course, we couldn’t resist a little getaway ourselves, exploring Northern France and Lyon, soaking up sunshine, first world war history, and plenty of croissants, wine and swimming.
Welcoming familiar faces back to our B&B in Cheshire
One of the things we love most about running our B&B in Cheshire is seeing familiar faces return year after year. Your repeat visits are the biggest compliment and remind us why we love what we do.
If you’ve been thinking about an autumn break in Cheshire, there’s still time — the colours are turning beautifully here in Cuddington, and our rooms are ready for cosy evenings and relaxed mornings.
Business stays that feel like home
This season, we’ve also waved goodbye to a few of our long-stay corporate guests, Heiko and Peter, both with us for more than 20 months of midweek stays while working on local projects. Their feedback has been a real boost, reminding us that even for business travel, a small Cheshire Bed and Breakfast can feel like a genuine “home from home”.

What’s coming up in Cheshire
There’s plenty to look forward to as we head towards winter.
🏍️ Oulton Park Bennetts Superbike Championships are always a highlight. The opening round in May sold out quickly, and the second round in October draws fans from across the UK. 🎤 Delamere Forest Concerts have also announced their first two acts for next summer, and it’s shaping up to be another brilliant series. Staying at The Hive at 52 B&B in Cheshire means you can enjoy the music and still wake up to a hearty breakfast the next morning. It’s a great venue — we attended Rag’n’Bone Man last summer, and it was awesome.
Christmas closure and family time
We’ll be open right through to Christmas, welcoming guests for festive stays and winter getaways, before taking a short break from 24 December to 3 January to enjoy some family time of our own.
