Bye Summer! Hello Winter.
29-10-2018 | Category: General News
What a Summer we have had at The Hive at 52. Continuing to be busy with looking after our lovely guests although we are getting a little bit quieter in the weekends due to the wedding season coming to and end. The feedback over the Summer has been fantastic and we like to thank all our guests for staying with us, and letting us know what we do well, and what we can do to improve!
Improving we always want to do, both on the property, we have just installed new, ‘sound proof’ windows in Bee Happy and had a full carpet clean of the B&B and in service/ food offering, please let us know what you think we should add/ stop doing! We will be busy painting walls etc over the winter, however hopefully we will be to busy to do so!! Why would we busy in the Autumn/ Winter? Because there is so much to do in and around Chester & Cheshire!
Chester Christmas markets (16th November until 22nd December)
Chester is a 30 minute drive from The Hive at 52 or an hour by train!
As the nights grow darker and the air gets cooler, it’s fair to say Christmas is on the way. Chester is the place to be this Christmas, with so many sparkly, seasonal events taking place in the city centre, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Chester Christmas Market will return to the city centre with over 70 chalets filled with gift ideas and delicious festive fare to enjoy, the annual parades will be filling the streets with festive cheer and Chester Cathedral opens its doors with a variety of christmassy events from carol concerts to their popular Christmas tree festival.

Wander beneath tree canopies drenched in seasonal colour and dripping with shards of light, frosty snowflakes, stars and baubles. New for 2018, the Dunham Massey winter trail is a place where fairy tale meets fantasy. Glowing trees rise high into the night sky and lead you on a path towards hundreds of colour-changing globes. There’ll be hidden surprises too – watch out for bubbles on the bridge before you stroll through playful ribbons of colour-changing lights and stop at the scented fire garden to take in the sights and smells.
