Summer heat

26-06-2018 | Category: General News

Hi,

Apologies for the lack of a blog during the last 3 weeks however we had a tough few weeks with an in-law staying with us on a temporary basis. Added issue is that he has Alzheimers and it was a very difficult and challenging few weeks. It did not help that we had a busy few weeks at the B&B as well. We made it and think as a family it made us stronger.

Now on to a bit more exciting stuff, the weather! I am sure that many people will have or have started to moan about it being too hot! Why are people forgetting what a miserable and cold winter we have had and that as a nation we deserve a bit of nice weather. Yes the sunny weather makes our rooms a bit warmer than usual, however it also make most of our guests a lot more cheerful and us for that matter. The garden loves the sunny weather, well at least the flowers do, grass not so much and of course our local butcher, and supplier of our sausages and bacon, loves it as he probable does well with all the BBQ’s working hard.

I am not sure if you heard the news and/ or Jeremy Vine, however there is likely to be a shortage of CO2 soon, unsure why, but not a good sign as what happens with our largers!? It is hot weather and the World Cup Football is on at the moment, panic! Am sure it wall all be fine, and that we find out it is just a marketing stunt from our brewers and fizzy pop producers.

I certainly hope the good weather continues, even if it makes cleaning, cooking and ironing so much harder, it also make our guests a lot more cheerful.

Thank you enjoy the sun, football or soon the Tour de France and Wimbledon.
